Denver Gem and Mineral Show

September 7, 2016 Tammy Schaffer

The Denver Gem and Mineral Show coming up September 16 -18th, is the second largest of its kind in the country- now an international event showcasing world class mineral specimens, fossils, gems and jewelry. The Gem and Mineral Show is also a learning experience for students, providing information on those fossils and minerals as well as Colorado mining history and some of the more beautiful examples of rock formation.

We’ll talk with Dave Bunk of Dave Bunk Minerals and James Hagadorn PhD, Curator of Geology at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, about the shows's importance to Denver, and the economic impact it has on our state.  They'll also explain how the show is able to contribute grants to Denver's Title IX schools, and proceeds to Earth Sciences scholarship funds.

Tune in for our brilliant conversation, LIVE at 4:00 on Denver's Money Talk 1690 AM.
