Denver District Attorney - Witness Protection Program

October 18, 2016 Alex Hopkins

When we think of a witness protection program, most of us recall a decades-old concept dealing with witnesses from mafia related crimes. Of course, this too, has changed with the times. Gang activity and anti-snitching culture has had an impact on the justice system, resulting in extreme efforts to protect witnesses who do come forward.

Join Denver's District Attorney, Mitch Morrissey and Steve Siegel, Director of the Special Programs Unit, to hear about their work on Colorado’s Witness Protection Program.  Their program has become a national model for other states’ witness protection plans.

Please be advised, we'll share examples of high profile cases, including a graphic 911 recording of the fatal results of a witness who refused protection.

Tune in to Connect & Collaborate, LIVE  at 4:00PM on Denver's Money Talk 1690 AM.
