November 1 – Stan Litow – P-Tech Schools   
An important innovation in high school and early college education has reached a small number of Colorado schools. We will talk with Stan Litow, IBM Vice President of Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs, about the P-Tech schools emerging in the Saint Vrain School District. Partners in Technology Early College/ High School programs provide students with a six-year program to earn their high school diploma and concurrently complete an associate degree with the guidance of a mentor from an industry partner like IBM and several other companies participating in Colorado.  

November 2 – Stephanie Veck – Workforce Development

One way is through a program called Wish Kids in which area high schools take on a wish, raise money to fulfill the wish, meet the Wish Kid and learn that giving of yourself rewards everyone. CareerWise Colorado officially launched on September 14, 2016 with an announcement of $9.5 million in foundation support from Bloomberg Philanthropies, JP Morgan Chase, the Walton Family Foundation, the Daniels Fund and the Colorado Workforce Development Council. Our show will focus on the work of the BEL Commission and CareerWise Colorado and how youth apprenticeships are the solution to an economically vital Colorado and world.
